Tellico River Tennessee: Where is Tellico Plains?
Tellico Plains is located on the Tellico River near the where the river emerges from the rugged Appalachian Mountains and continues into Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians. Tellico Plains is in Monroe County, Tennessee. It occupies the former site of the Cherokee town of Great Tellico. The nearby Coker Creek was the site of a minor gold rush during the late 1800s.
WATER LANDSCAPES"When I am painting water, I pretend time stops in that moment. I feel the energy of my thoughts flowing, just like the water, unattached to a beginning or an end. Being in the process of painting makes me feel so much pleasure and joy. Each shape I paint, whether it's solid matter or light space, I highlight each of these energies.
